Great product and great serviceBy: malcolm on 2 January 2017I bought this router based on reviews I had read. It performs perfectly and was a dream to set up. I particularly like the software interface. Wireless range is very good and contrary to some reviews my unit runs cool - just warm to the touch. Device Deal were great to deal with and the unit arrived very quickly
ASUS RT-AC68UBy: Brad on 20 September 2016After much research, I bought this router to replace the 'Technicolor' brand router that Telstra issued as standard for our Fiber-to-premises connection. I had endless problems with the Telstra one, with the internet dropping out for no apparent reason every hour or so. After (eventually) getting a replacement of of them and finding it did the exact same thing, I bit the bullet and bought the ASUS RT-AC68U. It took a few minutes to set up, a few more to sort out the settings and passwords using the online ASUS management software and bingo, internet was up and running. I have 3 PCs, a Tbox, an Xbox and a PS3 linked to the 2.4Ghz (though the consoles are not used for online gaming), and 2 phones, 2 ipads and a gaming PC (definitely used for online gaming) connected on the 5Ghz band. I also have one PC hooked up via ethernet. So far (two weeks) nothing has skipped a beat. Not a single internet drop out since I plugged it in. I have the router at one end of my house (where the majority of my devices are), but I still get an excellent 2.4Ghz signal and a reasonable (3 out of 5 bars) 5Ghz at the other end of my place and that's after the signal has gone through several walls. I am on the 25GB down & 5GB upload NBN speed and I reliably get 22/23.5GB down and 4.5GB up on every device in the house, which is marginally better than my previous router numbers-wise, but the reliability of the ASUS is in another league, unsurprisingly. The router does not have a phone line connector, so I can't use my landline anymore, but since the only people who called that are scammers and charities looking for donations, I'm not too fussed. Overall, I love this router. I had no need for a device with more 5Ghz bandwidth and this one does the job very nicely without being ridiculously expensive. Highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for something to replace your Telstra-issued disappointment-box.
5 Stars for the Company and the Asus Router1 September 2016I ordered the product on the Monday and received the router on the Tuesday now that's great service. The router is easy to configure and the speed and range is fantastic. I have a very large house with all brick internal walls and no dead spots in the house on wireless, This has save me a huge amount of time not having to run cat 5 cables to rooms.
