Reproduce large-format originals
The Expression 13000XL supports A3 reflective media with 2400 × 4800 dpi resolution, Micro Step Drive technology, 3.8 Dmax optical density and 48-bit colour. AutoFocus optics are described for focusing on originals up to 6 mm above the scanner glass.
The supplied scan-time examples list an 8.5 × 11-inch colour image at 300 dpi in 23 seconds, a 35 mm slide at 2400 dpi in 51 seconds and a 4 × 5-inch transparency in under three minutes.
Transparency workflow
Batch scan supported film formats
With the optional transparency unit, the supplied content lists up to 48 frames of 35 mm negative film, 30 mounted 35 mm slides, eight 4 × 5-inch transparencies or six medium-format transparencies.
A two-lamp design uses a bright white lamp for positive transparencies and a blue light source for negative transparencies. Advanced Digital Dust correction and Easy Photo Fix colour restoration are also supplied.
