Capture documents through two scanning paths
The WorkForce DS-1730 combines an A4 flatbed with a duplex automatic document feeder. The flatbed provides 1200 × 1200 dpi optical resolution, while the ADF is listed at 600 × 600 dpi.
The 60-sheet ADF scans monochrome and colour pages at 30 ppm or 60 ipm at 200 or 300 dpi. Its supplied peak daily duty cycle is 3,000 sheets.

Create searchable and editable files
Epson Document Capture Pro for Windows and Epson Document Capture for Mac are supplied for job profiles and document workflows. OCR supports searchable PDFs and editable Microsoft Office files, subject to the supplied platform limitations.
Image processing includes automatic colour detection, auto rotation, background removal, de-screening, edge fill, image adjustments, text enhancement and unsharp mask, with additional ADF functions such as blank-page skipping, colour dropout, stitching and punch-hole removal.
