The TS-h2477AXU-RP, when equipped with 24 × 30 TB drives, provides up to 600 TB of storage capacity. You can further scale by connecting multiple high-performance QNAP JBOD expansion units that support SAS or SATA drives. For example, connecting 8 × 24-bay PCIe JBOD TL-R2400PES-RP units adds 192 additional drives, eliminating your storage capacity concerns.

Built-in 10GbE & 2.5GbE, upgradeable to 25GbE

• Supports Port Trunking for redundant connections

  Dual 10GbE and 2.5GbE ports with optional 25GbE expansion. Aggregates bandwidth and ensures network fault tolerance for stable data transfer under load or failure.

M.2 PCIe Gen 5 slots enable flexible upgrades

The TS-h2477AXU-RP features two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 5 slots which support NVMe SSDs for exceptional read/write speeds. PCIe Gen 5 is backwards compatible with PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 3, providing flexible storage performance and expansion options.

Note: M.2 SSDs are sold separately. Due to limited physical space, you should remove large heatsinks from M.2 SSDs and replace them with QNAP’s M.2 SSD heatsink before installing in the TS-h2477AXU-RP.

• SSD Caching or Storage Pool Configuration

  Configure SSDs as cache drives or create M.2 NVMe SSD storage pools to accelerate intensive data access and deliver blazing-fast performance.

  Note: We recommend using the NVMe SSD storage pool as the QuTS hero operating system drive to achieve optimal NAS system performance, efficient application metadata management, and optimized database operations.

• Power Failure Protection

  Add M.2 SSDs to enable ZIL power failure protection, ensuring that the NAS can continue completing unfinished data writes after power outage followed by a power restoration, and preventing data corruption while modifying data.
